Maureen Holloway is heard across Canada as host of The Last Word, a commentary on the foibles of the famous, featured live every morning on Q104 Halifax, Q92 Montreal, Q107 Toronto, Y108 Hamilton, 103 The Hawk London, Power 97 Winnipeg, Joe FM Edmonton, Q107 Calgary and Rock 101 Vancouver. On television, Maureen has hosted The Dish Show, the Comedy Network’s Gemini-nominated gabfest, and Flick, the Life Network’s movie review show, as well as regular features on CTV’s eNow and Canada A.M. Maureen was awarded the Canadian Association of Broadcaster’s Gold Ribbon Award for Humour in 2005.
Diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer in 2005, Maureen is an outspoken advocate for women’s health issues, and proud to be associated with fundraising campaigns for Princess Margaret Hospital, Women’s College Hospital and the Women’s Heath Centre at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. Maureen lives in Toronto with her husband John, sons Aidan and Ronan, and her bitch Asta.
