I was kind of excited about the launch of Apple's new product - the Ipad, as it's to be called, although I'm not crazy about the name. Conjures up promises of freshness and confidence and not wanting to go to gym class. While I'm on the subject, I can't hear the word "crampon" without giggling. This is what you get when you go mountain climbing at that time of the month.
ANYway. The Ipad. I think I want one, because I've been looking for a travel solution to my laptop. My laptop is just too heavy, and it's too valuable, and given that I do a fair amount of traveling, especially in the summer when I go up to the cottage and back, I think I could use something that will allow me to download books and magazines and movies and browse the web and do email. On the other hand, it's expensive. I'm already putting the Rogers grandchildren through college as it is - do I really want to fork over additional monthly fees? Furthermore, we don't even know when Canadian carriers will commit to the Ipad, let alone when the thing will even be available here. So there's that. Best to think on it while everyone gets their Ish*t together.
Speaking of gadgets, when I figure out where I left my camera, i will post some pictures from Arizona. I haven't even unpacked yet. My suitcase is sitting over there spilling laundry and making me feel guilty. I'm sure you already know what Arizona looks like - very red and dry with prickly stuff sticking up all over it. Interestingly, while I was there, I looked much the same (red and dry with prickly stuff).
